The hose industry has a history of more than 40 years in China and has become one of the main industries of China's rubber industry. In recent years, with the rapid development of China's automobile manufacturing, oil exploitation, agricultural water conservancy, marine chemical industry and construction industry, the demand for hoses has been increasing. At the same time, it is in line with international standards, which has promoted the continuous improvement of traditional hose technology, production methods, standards and structures, and a number of backbone enterprises with advanced equipment and strong comprehensive strength have emerged. According to statistics, by the end of 1996, there were 148 production plants above the county and city level in China's hose industry, and there were also some township hose enterprises, about 300. If the hose production of township enterprises is included, the annual production capacity of hoses exceeds 180 million standard meters. There are 30 manufacturers in China that produce rubber pipes for compressed air, general rubber pipes for water transmission, fiber-reinforced absorbent hoses, oxygen for welding, acetylene rubber pipes and dilute acid and alkali rubber pipes, and the total annual output of hoses of these hose manufacturers exceeds 60 million standard meters. In 1997, the annual output of China's hose was 80 million standard meters, and in 1998, it was 98 million standard meters. At present, the proportion of hoses reinforced with steel wire, fiber weaving or winding in China's hose industry has been greatly increased, compared with the production of cloth hose, it is more than 60%. The production capacity exceeds 180 million standard meters, basically meeting the domestic demand, and the production capacity is large, and there is still a certain number of hoses that can be exported.
